Choreographer Femke Gyselinck and dancers Zanne Boon and Oskar Stalpaert - two dancers from the inclusive dance company Platform-K - walk along the bumpy playing field between choreography as a series of appointments and plans, and how those plans come to life. They notice that these plans immediately dissipate as soon as you start to dance on a stage with an irregular shape and erratic height differences.
The title of this performance refers to a verse in the song My Future by Billie Eilish. In this song, she reflects on the past and looks towards the future with hope. Femke Gyselinck did not invite Billie Eilish, but musicians Hendrik Lasure (piano, keyboard) and Adia Vanheerentals (sax) to write an original score for this project.
The five performers seek playful answers to the question the title evokes. How do you change a dance plan? In Change of Plans, you get to experience the excitement of watching dancers constantly tune into and adjust to each other. Not sabotage, but an invitation between three dancers who each approach the concept of choreography in their own personal way.
